- The Bull Creek Foundation is an all-volunteer non-profit organization established in 1994.
- We promote and encourage a balance between nature, recreation and development in a unique and treasured 32-square mile watershed in northwest Travis County.
- The Bull Creek watershed is home to the endangered Golden-Cheeked Warbler and four of the six endangered cave invertebrates protected by the Balcones Canyonlands Conservation Plan. Threatened species include the Black-Capped Vireo and the Jollyville Plateau salamander.
- We manage a 40-acre parcel known as the Stenis Tract located along Bull Creek per an agreement with the City of Austin’s Water Quality Protection Lands department.
- We are partners with several organizations, including the Austin Parks Foundation, Keep Austin Beautiful, Girl Scouts of America, Generation Serve, and A Rocha USA. We also work closely with the Balcones Canyonlands Chapter and the Capital Area Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist Program.
- Current initiatives include mapping and removing invasive plants, monitoring trail cameras and testing Bull Creek water quality.
